Meet USCG Master Captain Jeff Geary
For all of my life, fishing has been more than just a hobby; it's been a way of life. At times, the sea feels more like my home than dry land does. I grew up fishing the Chesapeake and its tributaries with my father, who shares the same passion that I do. Over the years, I've spent almost every hour pouring my heart into fishing on the Eastern Shore.

As a Respiratory Therapist, I serve our community with compassion, patience, and enthusiasm. With my professional medical training, I will be able to provide safe and memorable fishing adventures to all of my guests.

I rely on my faith to guide me through life, and it's no different on the water. If you're looking for a professional, experienced, exciting, and just straight-up FUN fishing charter, let me take you on a journey you won't forget. The Fleet
We will be fishing in a 23' Deep Vee Pathfinder, the Liza Rey. This boat is one of a kind and very well sought-after hull design. She's in great shape and is pushed by a 2018 Yamaha outboard. She handles waves exceptionally well and has wide gunnels for safe and effective maneuvering. She's loaded to the brim with fishing essentials — a second station, live well, pitch wells, tackle storage, and a private bathroom in the console for our lady anglers. This boat is also outfitted with SeaDek on the entire floor of the hull which provides soft cushion and comfort even on the longest fishing days. The boat is fully licensed and insured for up to six passengers on the bay and its tributaries. On all charters, we provide fishing licenses, bait, gear, and tackle. All of our guests are welcome to bring equipment and gear of their own. However, it is recommended that you discuss these details with the Captain.
Electronics
This Pathfinder is packed with the most elite fishing electronics. At the console, the Humminbird Apex Mega SI+ offers sharp sidescan and downscan imaging. It's partnered with a Garmin XSV for navigational needs.
Rods, Reels, Accessories
Aboard the Liza Rey, we will use St. Croix, Shimano, Daiwa, and Star fishing products. Sensitivity, durability, and functionality are key to catching many of the species we'll target.
An important accessory this boat offers is the Rhodan 72" trolling motor at the bow. Featuring spot lock, jog, and autopilot, this accessory has proven to increase fishing TIME and fish CATCHING.
Our Fishing Destinations
Sick Day Sportfishing is based out of the Salisbury area, and we launch from various locations up and down the Delmarva Peninsula. The time of year, target species, and the hottest bite will determine which launch point we'll use.
